Dr. Jennifer Carman earned her Bachelor’s in Physiology and Neuroscience and her MD from the University of California, San Diego where she received the Joseph Stokes III Award for Exceptional Achievement in an Independent Study Project.

She is originally from upstate New York and moved to Tennessee to complete internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Baptist Hospital through the University of Tennessee. During that time, she received the Dr. Thomas Guv Pennington Award for the Embracement of Humanism in Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is thrilled to stay in middle Tennessee with her husband, Shaun.
