About

Dr. Iwelu was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, graduated medical school from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN and completed her medical training in Nashville.  

She is skilled in low and high risk obstetrics, along with minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic and laparoscopic techniques.  Dr. Iwelu strives to provide comprehensive, thorough and exceptional care to all patients. Her hope is to care for  and create lasting bonds with patients, from adolescence and beyond.

Dr. Iwelu is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has received designations in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery. 

 Dr. Iwelu enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with her husband and vibrant toddler.  She is honored to continue to serve the Nashville community.
