If you have an upcoming colonoscopy at the Digestive Disease Endoscopy Center, you should have received or will receive a packet in the mail with preparation instructions. We have an important update to those instructions.  

We previously instructed patients to consume 8-10 ounces of magnesium citrate as part of the preparation process; however, there is currently a recall on ALL magnesium citrate. As an alternative, please purchase Dulcolax 5mg laxative tablets. The day before your colonoscopy, take 4 of the Dulcolax tablets at 2:00pm instead of consuming the magnesium citrate. You should still consume the Miralax/Gatorade solution at 4:00pm as detailed in the prep packet.
