An Emory University and Vanderbilt University Medical School graduate, Dr. Callaway's special clinical interests are cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. He enjoys gardening, reading, genealogy, golf, and boating. He and his wife have two daughters who are married and one son who is majoring in engineering at Auburn.

Dr. Callaway performed his residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He served as President of Heritage Medical Associates and Medical Director when he returned to practice full-time in 2009.
